Sagenopteris rhoifolia

kytka This fossil plant was described by Karel Bořivoj Presl in 1838 in the Sternberg fundamental work Versuch einer geologisch-botanischen Darstellung der Flora der Vorwelt.

Genus Sagenopteris occurs in Mesozoic, particularly Jurassic strata in both hemispheres. It belongs to an extinct group of plant, which is considered as possible ancestral to angiosperms.
